We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant of over £370,000 from The Big Lottery. This is to cover the cost of taking on staff and to go toward part of the running costs of The Stables for the next five years.
We have recently been granted planning permission for our indoor school. This means that we would be able to operate throughout the whole year, unaffected by the wind, rain, hail and snow.
The recent Curry Night hosted by Azeems Restaurant in Keighley was a fantastic success. The event, at which Malcolm Hoddy editor of the Keighley News was guest speaker, raised £1,345 toward the covered area. Many thanks for the generosity of all those who attended, also to Connie and Irene from Addingham, the Co-op, Azeems and many, many others for donating an array of wonderful prizes.
We still need to keep raising funds for our work though, for instance we still need in the region of £80,000 for the indoor school. Please get in touch with us at The Stables with any ideas you may have to help us. Your support will be greatly appreciated!
